Dr. Michael Akintayo has demonstrated dedication, leadership and excellence in his career with 21 years of professional experience in human services, His is an Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan College of New York, Graduate School of Public Affairs and Administration and also works with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Dr Akintayo received his Ph.D. in General Human Services in 2009 from Capella University, Minnesota. In 2001, he received his Master of Science in Human Services Administration from Metropolitan College of New York, where he was listed on the Dean's List three times. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with Honors, and holds graduate certificates in Online Teaching and in Health Care Administration.

He is a member/reviewer of Editorial boards of many international journals. Dr. Akintayo received the Mayoral Scholarship in 2000. He is the Executive Director of MAICO NY Inc, writing grants for corporations, and organizing and mentoring programs and activities for the youth.

Dr. Michael O. Akintayo is the author of Parenting Among Christian Immigrants in the United States. This book also addresses some of the concerns and struggles of immigrant parents as they raise their children and young adults in the United States. He has co-authored many articles in International journal. He is listed in the (16th Edition) Registry of Cambridge Who’s Who in America as a member.
